Expand your reach with OVHcloud datacentres

With our OVHcloud Connect hybrid connection solution, you can form a secure, high-performance link between your company network and the OVHcloud vRack.

Data is transferred through our infrastructures via our Direct solution, and you get a dedicated connection with 1Gbit/s or 10Gbit/s bandwidth.

You can also choose our Provider offer, with one of our providers. With this solution, you get from 200Mbit/s to 5Gbit/s bandwidth, and even more global coverage.

Global coverage through points of presence from both OVHcloud and our partners

With our extended network, we are as close as possible to your datacentres. Connect your network to OVHcloud infrastructures via our global points of presence, or those offered by our partners.

vlan

Layer 2 or layer 3 connection

A layer 2 connection simplifies the way you connect your datacentre’s campus network to your OVHcloud vRack private network.

With a layer 3 connection, you can connect your company’s WAN network to your OVHcloud vRack private network, so that it is considered as a site within your company network. This option is only available for our Provider solution.

Redondance géographique et SLA

Geographical redundancy and SLA

Layer 3 networks require one or more private external BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) sessions to be established between your company and OVHcloud.

For critical environments, redundancy is strongly recommended with two OVHcloud Connect solutions distributed between two geographically distinct points of presence, using BGP redundancy mechanisms.

InterCloud-logo
InterCloud

At InterCloud we believe cloud connectivity should be as simple, reliable and flexible as the public cloud itself.

Our mission is to apply these principles to the migration & operation of business-critical workloads from corporate data centers to the Cloud. InterCloud services are neutral with regards to data center, WAN, Telecom, location and service providers. Because of this we select, manage and orchestrate the optimal connectivity solution for the application landscape of our customers. At InterCloud, we have created a Software-Defined Cloud Interconnect (SDCI) platform which seamlessly links your corporate resources spread across multiple locations and cloud providers. Our platform enables traffic isolation to guarantee the end-to-end performance and security of your interconnections. This also allows usage-driven segmentation to optimize and enrich your links with advanced security, performance and analytics functions.

The advantage of BGP

Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is an autonomous inter-system routing protocol that replaced the External Gateway Protocol (EGP) as a routing exchange protocol. It enables data to be transferred between autonomous systems used for OVHcloud Connect. Compared to internal routing protocols (e.g. RIP or IGRP), it does not take into account the distance between a router and a destination — instead, it takes a more precise set of parameters that can be defined. Its main advantage is its ability to handle a large number of routes that can be selected according to a specific policy. For example, you may choose to limit the number of connected autonomous systems, refuse transit, or prioritise some systems over others. This means it provides protection against loops for autonomous systems. To a lesser extent, it also enables you to manage the traffic load depending on the network announcement.
