Transparent pricing

A pricing model designed to be predictable. No hidden costs, with unlimited ingress and egress traffic included.

A redundant architecture to ensure high-level storage access

A HA-NAS service is made up of two servers that have access to the storage space: a primary server and a secondary server. These two machines ensure a high level of availability for accessing the storage space.

In the event of a maintenance operation or a failure on one of the servers, the second server takes over. This is to ensure service continuity and access to storage space.

Snapshot policy — a way to protect your data in the event of master file corruption

Snapshots are instant images of the data on your partition. If your main file is corrupted, you can access your previous snapshots (on the same physical device) and retrieve your information as it was when the last snapshot was taken (e.g. 1 hour, 24 hours, 48 hours ago). You can configure the snapshot frequency to automate them at no additional cost.

However, please note that OVHcloud can take snapshots of your data without any obligation. If required, you can request a restoration of these, provided that they exist. However, this action incurs additional costs.

Your questions answered

What is a HA-NAS server, and what is it used for?

A HA-NAS server is a centralised file data storage system, fully managed by OVHcloud. It is based on the OpenZFS file system, and can be used to store structured data from different OVHcloud services.

Which OVHcloud products are compatible with HA-NAS?

HA-NAS is accessible from the following OVHcloud solutions: Bare Metal Cloud, Hosted Private Cloud and Public Cloud.

Which backup policy is associated with HA-NAS?

Users are responsible for managing their backups (tools and policies) inside and outside the service, as well as their business continuity and disaster recovery plans. However, for infrastructure security and resilience purposes, OVHcloud can take snapshots of the service on a remote server without any obligation.
In the event of an outage or attack, if OVHcloud has taken a snapshot on a remote server, we can then restore the data from the last available snapshot. Please note, however, that this is done on request and is an optional service that will be billed.

How is my snapshot storage managed?

You are allocated additional space on the same physical device to ensure that your snapshots are stored. This storage space corresponds to at least 15% of the primary volume. If you exceed this limit, the snapshots will be stored on your main storage space. You cannot use the additional space for anything other than snapshot storage.
